De modo que las dificultades asociadas a lo emocional, como incomodidad, agotamiento, nervios y estrés coincidiendo con Bailén y Polo (2016); la falta de conocimiento, lo que llevó según Trzcińska-Król (2020), a tener que formarse autodidácticamente en las herramientas digitales empleadas por los docentes; la dificultad de conciliación para poder brindar el apoyo parental especial que requieren estos alumnos incapaces de aprender en casa por si mismos, se une a la insatisfacción con el apoyo brindado por la escuela (Álvarez et al, 2023;Asbury et al, 2020); así como el distanciamiento, deterioro convivencial e incremento de los conflictos familiares señalado también por Menéndez y Figares (2020), son significativamente mayores en los ACNEAE según la percepción familiar.…”

El estudio de los deberes escolares ha sido uno de los temas más controvertidos poniendo especial énfasis sobre el tiempo, la cantidad o el formato más idóneo para las diferentes etapas educativas, así como en la necesidad de personalizar las tareas en el alumnado con necesidades educativas especiales. No obstante, la nueva situación de no presencialidad ante el tiempo de pandemia vuelve a situar a la palestra la funcionalidad de los mismos, dando lugar al siguiente estudio cuya finalidad consiste en conocer la percepción de las familias acerca de las tareas escolares durante el confinamiento en función de la presencia de necesidades educativas especiales o no en sus hijos. 1787 familias españolas participaron a través de la cumplimentación de un cuestionario ad hoc compuesto por 41 ítems. Los resultados ponen de manifiesto que los padres que tienen hijos con necesidades educativas especiales encuentran más difíciles y numerosas las tareas escolares, al igual que perciben menos beneficio, aprecian a sus hijos menos capaces para su ejecución y tienen una mayor consideración de estas como obstáculo entre la relación padre e hijos. Se subraya así la necesidad de activar nuevos mecanismos de comunicación y coordinación con las familias que atiendan las nuevas demandas de los alumnos con necesidades especiales ante un escenario educativo más virtual y, además, que los docentes personalicen las tareas escolares y doten de recursos complementarios para el mejor entendimiento de su desempeño.

Potential connection between positive frustration in family leisure time and the promotion of adolescent autonomy

Family relationships during leisure time in adolescence have the potential to promote positive development, particularly in terms of autonomy. However, the scientific literature that links specifically positive family leisure to the development of adolescent autonomy is scarce, and lower when analyzing the role of frustration in leisure time. Grounded in Self-Determination Theory (SDT) this article examines the potential relationship between positive frustration in family leisure time and the promotion of adolescent autonomy. For that purpose, the manuscript addresses four objectives to be discussed consecutively: (1) to delimit the concept of adolescent autonomy and point out the difficulty of parental support; (2) to explore positive frustration, a concept aligned with Csikszentmihalyi’s theory of flow, as a construct that can promote socio-emotional development in adolescence; (3) to describe the components of family leisure; and (4) to understand how the experience of optimal frustration may be linked to the development of adolescent autonomy during family leisure time. From this central question, several additional inquiries emerge: the interplay of frustration and failure in adolescence, the importance of parents and adolescents spending quality time together, the enjoyment in structured family leisure time, the autonomy-supportive parenting in leisure time activities in relation to daily activities, the need to strengthen adolescent bonds developed in infancy, and the complexity of paternal and maternal autonomy granting.
