Meanwhile, Callesano (2020) finds that, in Miami, certain areas are more highly associated with Cuban Spanish than others, and moreover that heritage language speakers of Spanish specifically identify one particular neighborhood (Hialeah) as the heart of Cuban Spanish in the city, while non-heritage speakers are more disperse in their neighborhood identifications.
