Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of the Tawangsari Village Head in Boyolali Regency in empowering community members in connection with the Covid-19 outbreak in the economy. The Covid-19 outbreak that hit the Indonesian nation around the beginning of March 2020 had a very significant impact on national development. Likewise, the economic resilience of the people in rural areas is vulnerable and it is very important to find a solution. The role of the Village Head as a policy maker at the local level in accordance with Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages is expected to be able to run optimally. To obtain credible research results, the researchers used non-doctrinal legal research methods. This is done by reviewing regulations related to the functions, duties and roles of the Village Head both in general and village government policies during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, direct observations in the field on the process of community empowerment during the pandemic were also carried out. While the data collection using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. From the results of the study, it was concluded that the Head of Tawangsari Village in Boyolali had various innovation programs to strengthen economic resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic. Programs to strengthen the economic resilience of citizens are carried out by cooperating with many third parties to be able to synergize together, so that economic resilience can be created
