The purpose of this research is to develop listening material based on bottom up strategy that can make students master listening skills. This research method is the Research and Development (R&D) method. This method consists of identification of material needs, exploration of needs, realization of contextual materials, realization of pedagogical materials, production of materials, use of student materials and evaluation of materials against agreed goals. The population in this study were all students of the first semester English Education study program at STKIP-PGRI Lubuklinggau Academic Year 2020/2021. The results of this study make it easier for students to work on questions on the material that has been developed and make them more quickly understand. In conclusion, developing listening material based on a bottom-up strategy, researchers received a positive response from first semester students because it could help them learn to listen for general communication. In addition, researchers also use the bottom up strategy to develop this listening material, so that it can help make it easier for students to learn to listen for general communication. So, in this study the researchers succeeded in helping students facilitate listening learning in this first semester with a positive response from all students. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between students' listening achievement and their listening approach. The participants in this study were 11th graders. 97 students served as the study's sample population. The data were analyzed using Pearson's r correlation coefficients in this descriptive quantitative study. Data were gathered for this study using a listening test and a questionnaire. Students' listening techniques were discovered using a questionnaire, and their listening abilities were discovered through a listening exam. 28 questions about cognitive, metacognitive, and socio-affective strategies were included in the questionnaire that the students were required to complete. According to the study's findings, there is a high association between the use of cognitive methods and successful listening. The link between socio-affective variables and listening achievement was significant with moderate interpretation, as was the correlation between metacognitive approach and listening achievement. Students' listening strategies and listening achievement at the school exhibit a substantial association, with rxy of cognitive strategy showing > = 0.622, metacognitive strategy showing > = 0.525, and socio-affective strategy showing > = 0.415. As a result, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is disproved.

In this modern era, the YouTube application is one of the media to improve students' English listening learning, one of which is through the TED YouTube channel. It also applies to students at IAIN Cirebon. However, in the process, it is not known whether this media has a positive impact or not in improving students' English listening learning. The purpose of this study is to see the effect of learning media from the TED YouTube channel on English listening learning for IAIN Cirebon students. This research used the descriptive quantitative method. The author surveyed the 3rd semester TBI students of IAIN Cirebon using an online questionnaire. The findings show that the use of media from the TED YouTube channel has a good impact on improving the English listening skills of IAIN Cirebon students. These positive impacts include increasing English vocabulary, students' ability to identify topics, and motivating students to practice English listening skills. In addition, students consider using video media from the TED YouTube channel as a fun way to practice English listening skills.
