Student's critical thinking has not been maximally train in learning, learning activities are only memorizing demands of passing the assessment. Students are less understand, build, and criticize arguments about a problem, especially in science learning. This is the introduction for the development of teaching materials based on Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS). This study aims to determine how the feasibility of science teaching materials based on SETS in ecosystem materials to improve the critical thinking skills of grade 5 students. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development) with a 4D model. This research was conducted online using Microsoft Teams which was carried out synchronously and asynchronously due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The data collection technique is the expert validation stage, the implementation of learning observation sheets, critical thinking tests (pretest and posttest), and student response questionnaires and then analyzed using quantitative and descriptive techniques. The results show that: (1) teaching materials were in the feasible category with an average of 3.4, (2) practical based on observations of the implementation of learning with an average of 93% and the categories are good, and 95% of the student activity was active, ( 3) effective based on the acquisition of N-gain on the critical thinking test is 0.77 (high category), and the student response questionnaire that is 97% very good category. This teaching material based on SETS is expected to improve students' critical thinking skills, in this study students can be categorized as having high critical thinking skills.

Learning science is one of the ways that education works to improve the quality of human resources by enhancing personality and abilities. In this study, researchers adopted a specific quantitative methodology. The research instrument used a student learning responsibility questionnaire with 25 statements and observation sheets of students' scientific inquiry skills with 18 statements ranging from very bad to very good. 237 junior high school students from state schools on the east coast grade 7 were used as research samples selected using purposive sampling technique. Data from the research sample can be evaluated after it has been gathered. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used in the data analysis. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between learning responsibility and science process skills of junior high school students in suburban cities. There is a positive and unidirectional relationship between student responsibilities and students' science process skills in science subjects for junior high school students in suburban cities as indicated by the correlation between student learning responsibilities and science process skills, a correlation coefficient of 0.710 is obtained. Based on the results of the Follow-up Test, the average responsibility of the three junior high school students in suburban cities is significantly different from the significance value used, which is 0.05. The significance value obtained for the character of responsibility is 0.020 which is lower than the significance value used, which is 0.05. The researcher suggests that future scientists utilize research findings as a source of information to carry out additional research and close gaps in their knowledge.

Pembelajaran IPA memfokuskan pada penguasaan produk dan keterampilan proses juga sikap ilmiah disebut dengan keterampilan proses sains. Bilamana siswa mempunyai keterampilan proses sains maka dapat memecahkan masalah, membentuk konsep, dan mampu mengembangkan kreativitas. Faktanya keterampilan proses sains pada pembelajaran IPA masih rendah hal tersebut dikarenakan beberapa faktor seperti kurangnya bahan ajar untuk digunakan agar keterampilan proses sains meningkat. Sesuai dengan permasalahan peneliti mengembangkan bahan ajar e-modul berbasis potensi lokal De Djawatan agar keterampilan proses sains siswa meningkat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah mengkaji validitas, kepraktisan serta keefektifan e-modul berbasis potensi lokal De Djawatan. Pengembangan ini berdasarkan model ADDIE terdiri atas 5 tahapan. Penelitian memporeh hasil yakni, validitas e-modul berbasis potensi lokal memperoleh nilai sebesar 85% pada kriteria valid. Hasil analisis lembar kepraktisan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran secara keseluruhan pertemuan memperoleh rerata sebesar 89,2% kategori sangat praktis. Keefektifan ditinjau berdasarkan peningkatan pretes dan postes nenunjukkan n-gain sebesar 0,66 dengan kategori peningkatan sedang, dan hasil respon siswa menunjukkan presentase sebesar 86% dengan kategori sangat positif.
