Pengembangan Homestay Berbasis Masyarakat Pada Kampung Homestay Borobudur

Abstract

Candi Borobudur merupakan destinasi wisata yang termasuk ke dalam Situs Warisan Dunia UNESCO pada tahun 1991 yang memberikan potensi pengembangan aktivitas ekonomi serta pariwisata. Masyarakat Dusun Ngaran 2 Desa Borobudur memanfaatkan potensi pariwisata dengan melakukan pengembangan homestay berupa Kampung Homestay Borobudur yang hingga saat ini mencapai 27 homestay dengan melibatkan elemen masyarakat dan para pengelola homestay Dusun Ngaran 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan eksploratif untuk menjelaskan proses pengembangan homestay serta analisis triangulasi dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk mengetahui peran masyarakat dan teknologi informasi di dalamnya. Pengembangan homestay yang berbasis pada masyarakat ini melibatkan dua aspek kegiatan yaitu peningkatan mutu pelayanan dan penyedia kegiatan pariwisata. Selain itu, terdapat juga peran teknologi informasi yang digunakan untuk sistem pemesanan yang terkomputerisasi pada media booking.com atau melalui situs yang dibangun khusus oleh pengurus homestay pada www.kampunghomestayborobudur.com sebagai bagian dari pengembangan aktivitas pariwisata, ekonomi dan teknologi untuk menciptakan pariwisata yang berkelanjutan.
