Pengaruh Penggunaan Teknologi Ulir Filter dan Geoisolator pada Produksi Garam Rakyat di Kabupaten Indramayu

Abstract: The choice of technology in the production of salt is one of the key factors to obtain higher productivity. Salt farmers in Indramayu Regency have been utilizing a combination of filtration thread technology (TUF) and Geoisolator to increase the quantity and quality of their salt production. The aim of this study was to ascertain the impact of TUF and Geoisolator utilization compared to the traditional method on salt production in Indramayu in 2015 using descriptive analysis. The result of this study shows tha… Show more

“…Geomembrane was a material in the form of plastic sheets made of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) components that are waterproof, and resistant to high temperatures. Salt production using geomembranes, or some call them, geoisolators, can be as much as 140 tons per ha, while the traditional process is only 92 tons per ha [8] and can increase production capacity by up to 60%, and increase sodium chloride (NaCl) levels from 94% to 96% [9,10]. The strength of the HDPE material can last up to 10 years.…”
