Vocational High School is one of the institutions that prepare the workforce, Students from Vocational High School should have good work readiness to work immediately. However, based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia has the highest open unemployment rate for SMK graduates compared to other levels of education. This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence, industrial work practices, soft skills, and self-efficacy on students' work readiness. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The research subjects were class XII students majoring in Accounting at SMKN 1 and SMKN 6 Pekanbaru City. The population in this study totalled 233 students and a sample of 147 students. The sampling technique used is Proportional Random Sampling. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression equations with the help of SPSS. The results showed that work readiness as a variable (Y) was simultaneously influenced by emotional intelligence (X1), industrial work practices (X2), soft skills (X3) and self-efficacy (X4) in Pekanbaru City Vocational High School students.

The purpose of this research is to prove the role of self-efficacy as a mediator between vocational competence and work readiness in grade 12 students of SMKN Mojoagung in the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of research is explanatory with a quantitative approach. Primary data collection in this research uses a questionnaire. Processing and analysis of data in this research using SEM-PLS analysis. The results of this research indicate that vocational competence cannot directly influence work readiness, self-efficacy can directly influence work readiness, self-efficacy is directly influenced by vocational competence, self-efficacy can be a mediating variable between vocational competence and work readiness in class 12 AKL students at SMKN Mojoagung for the academic year 2022/2023. In this research self-efficacy acts as a full mediation. For further researchers, it is hoped that they can expand the sample in one district or wider to strengthen the research findings , increase the variables studied such as family support, career maturity and time, and can be add the test for instrument development.

Abstrak Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesiapan kerja ditinjau dari harga diri (self-esteem) dan efikasi diri (self-efficacy) siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) negeri di Kota Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survei. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 4.156 terdiri dari seluruh siswa SMK negeri di Kota Pontianak. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 320 siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik komunikasi langsung dan dokumen dengan alat pengumpul data berupa angket dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa harga diri (self-esteem) dan efikasi diri (self-efficacy) memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa, baik secara mandiri maupun bersama-sama. Semakin besar tingkat harga diri dan efikasi diri, maka semakin besar tingkat kesiapan kerja siswa SMK negeri di Kota Pontianak. AbstractThe research aimed to analyze work readiness in terms of self-esteem and self-efficacy of state vocational high school (SMK) students in Pontianak City. The research method used descriptive research in the form of survey research. The research population was 4,156 consisting of all state vocational high school students in Pontianak City. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with a total sample of 320 students. Data analysis techniques used direct communication techniques and documents with data collection tools in the form of questionnaires and documents. The results showed that self-esteem and self-efficacy have a positive influence on students' work readiness, both individually and collectively. The greater the level of self-esteem and self-efficacy, the greater the level of work readiness of state vocational students in Pontianak City.
