PENGARUH KO-INFEKSI BAKTERI Streptococcus agalactiae DENGAN Aeromonas hydrophila TERHADAP GAMBARAN HEMATOLOGI DAN HISTOPATOLOGI IKAN TILAPIA ( Oreochromis niloticus )

Show more

“…Phagocyte cells play a role in killing pathogenic bacteria by producing reactive oxygen through the respiratory burst process (Neumann, Stafford, Barreda, Ainsworth, & Belosevic, ; Uribe, Folch, Enriquez, & Moran, ). Respiratory burst activity increased can affect the increase in free radical production used to fight pathogens (Sugiani, Sukenda, Harris, & Lusiastuti, ). Based on the results obtained, it was shown that the rise in total leukocytes was in line with the increase in phagocyte activity and respiratory burst.…”

“…Based on the results obtained, it was shown that the rise in total leukocytes was in line with the increase in phagocyte activity and respiratory burst. Vaccinated tilapia shows an increase in total leukocytes followed by the rising of phagocytic activity (Hardi et al, ; Sugiani et al, ). Phagocytic activity increase in vaccinated fish can affect the increase in respiratory burst (Harikrishnan & Balasundaram, ).…”

“…[5]. Occasionally, co-infections between A. hydrophila and S. agalactiae in tilapia were also reported [21,22]. Previous studies suggested that co-infections involving viral and bacterial pathogens might aggravate the disease and increase mortality in the affected fish [7,17,23].…”

“…D 1305224 BKC) (Maskur, 2013). The combination of two vaccines created from Streptococcus agalactiae dan Aeromonas hydrophila antigens has been developed to improve the efficiency and capability of product against tilapia diseases (Sugiani et al, 2012). Availability of vaccine products for tilapia is an essential factor not only to cope with disease outbreaks but also to improve the quality of tilapia production and replace the use of antibiotics in tilapia culture.…”
