PENGARUH JENIS EKSPLAN DAN KOMBINASI ZAT PENGATUR TUMBUH (ZPT) TERHADAP INDUKSI KALUS Begonia bimaensis Undaharta & Ardaka SECARA IN VITRO

Abstract: Begonia bimaensis Undaharta & Ardaka is a potential ornamental plant, and currently known only from one population in Sumbawa. Propagation programs, both conventional and in vitro culture are necessary to ensure its conservation. The aim of this research is to observe the effects of explant types and plant growth regulator combination (2,4-D and kinetin) in inducing callus from B. bimaensis leaf in vitro. Callus induction was initiated from three parts of leaf explant, namely petiole, leaf base, and leaf l… Show more

“…The compact callus texture of the Dayak onion has a tight cell arrangement and forms a dense bulge. A compact callus structure was also reported in begonia callus that grown in 2,4-D + kinetin medium (Hendriyani et al, 2020). In this study, a callus growth analysis was also carried out to obtain the growth curve of Dayak onion callus on the best growth medium.…”

“…Kalus embriogenik dapat berkembang secara bertahap merupakan komponen yang penting pada tahap embriogenesis somatik tidak langsung [6]. Oleh karena itu, upaya dalam inisiasi kalus embriogenik yang efisien merupakan tahap penting dalam rangka mendapatkan bibit manggis Macakal dalam jumlah banyak [7].…”
