Pengaruh Ekstrak Daun Mangrove (Avicennia marina) terhadap Ketahanan Tubuh Udang Vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei )

Abstract: This study aims to determine the optimum dose of mangrove leaf extract (A. marina) which is able to improve the resistance of vaname shrimp (L. vannamei). The stages in this study consisted of : (1) extraction of mangrove leaves and, (2) Immunostimulation of shrimp with extracts orally, (3) analysis of shrimp resistance to defend against Vibrio alginolitycus bacterial infection through challange test. The treatment was conducted in different doses of extract in feed (10, 15, 20 g/kg), and the control treatment… Show more

“…This is under the statement of Chifdhiyah (2012), which states that white turmeric extract given through feed can act as an immunostimulant for shrimp, which can increase shrimp endurance which can be seen from the increase in the total number of haemocytes. Samuria et al (2018) also stated that the administration of immunostimulants could increase the survival of white vaname shrimp from 26% to 83%.…”

“…The catch is Vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) around the Lantebung mangrove. The research results [19] state that mangrove leaf litter increases the immune response and survival of Vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). The samples obtained in the mangrove forest habitat of one tail each, among others: Fiddler crab (Uca annulipes, Uca acuta, and Uca tetragonon), Beach crab (Metopograpsus frontalis, Metopograpsus thukuhar) and Krama crab (Episaserma sp).…”

“…The aquarium is labeled with treatment codes KV (+), KV (-), VA, VB, and VC with three iterations so that the test code is generated as follows: Aeration hoses, aeration taps, aeration stones, ballast, aquariums and seawater are sterilized by soaking using Ca (CIO)2 which is chlorine and left overnight and then rinsed. Prepare 1 fiber bath with a capacity of 1 ton for sterile seawater supply and given Ca(CIO)2 left to evaporate for 5 days (Samuria, et al, 2018). Preparing 2 fiber tubs for acclimatization of vaname shrimp.…”

“…However, the utilization of these cultivated organisms often competes with humans. Hence, there is a need for alternative use of natural materials that do not compete with humans and have the same or even better bioactive compound content than traditional plants that are usually used (Samuria, et al, 2018).…”
