The role of Perhutani and local farmers in developing agroforestry in Bogor Forest Management Unit (FMU) is important for carbon sequestration-based climate mitigation efforts. Different compositions of the plants in seven agroforestry systems in four part of Bogor FMU. Farmers adjust the multipurpose crops planted with Perhutani main plants, which are more dominant. The potential mean annual carbon increment based on aboveground carbon stock of agroforestry is between 2.26 to 66.65 tonnes per hectare, while in 2 monocultures land system is between 13.65 to 18.29 tonnes per hectare. The carbon increment in agroforestry systems is better than monoculture because of plant diversity and different ages. Then, carbon revenue using carbon pricing set by the World Bank-FCPF Program in East Kalimantan is in the range of IDR 1,547,325 to IDR 49,292,405 per hectare, using the Social Cost scheme in the range IDR 12,997,535 to IDR414,056,204 per hectare and using domestic carbon tax is range IDR 635.017 to IDR 20,229,441 perhectare. Regarding carbon revenues, the wider the agroforestry land managed by farmers, the higher the carbon income received. Using the benefit transfer method over a 20-year mitigation period, an estimated 2.19 times increase in carbon revenues is obtained at an inflation rate of 4%.

Dusung is traditional land management in Maluku by planting various plant species in the same area. Factors such as intensive land management, selection and combination of plant species, vegetation structure, topography, soil, and others influence the economic and ecological productivity of dusung. Ecological productivity affects the biomass content, which indicates the potential for carbon absorption in the land. The method used in this research is direct measurements in the field of several carbon pools specifically for aboveground biomass. Data collection was guided by Indonesian National Standards (SNI) 7724-2019 concerning field measurements for estimating forest carbon stocks. The research result showed that the diversity of vegetation species in Dusung Rutong Village at all growth levels in the moderate category tends to be low, dominated by fruit plants such as Durian (Durio zibethinus). Tree-level species diversity is moderate because the community controls the species that grow on Dusung land. The total aboveground carbon stocks in Dusung Rutong Village are 106.424 tonnes/ha, consisting of trees 100.673 tonnes/ha, undergrowth 1.708 tonnes/ha, litter 1.124 tonnes/ha, necromass 0.042 tonnes/ha and bamboo (Schizostachyum brachycladum) 2.877 tonnes/ha while the potential for equivalent carbon dioxide (CO2) absorption of 390.221 tonnes/ha.

The successful adaptation of cocoa clones from Sulawesi in Lampung Province, especially since the release of the MCC clone in 2015, has increased farmers' interest in rehabilitating cocoa plantations, carrying out cloning and replanting using these superior clones. This study aims to study the structure of young cocoa agroforestry vegetation and farmer income in Air Naningan District, Tanggamus Regency.The research was conducted using a survey method. The sample agroforestry gardens selected purposively as models were young agroforests with complex vegetation structures and agroforests with simple vegetation structures. The results of this study indicate that the rehabilitated young cocoa-based agroforestry vegetation structure is affected by the previous tree stands. In addition, the vegetation is dominated by banana plants as productive shade so that the main crops are cocoa and bananas. In complex agroforestry systems, more types of associated crops are found than in simple agroforestry systems. Important structures as characteristics of young cocoa agroforestry are young interplanting which will later become the main crops, namely cocoa, coffee and avocado. In addition, in complex agroforestry types, tree structures with stump sprouts (regrowth trees) are found which are often pruned as goat fodder. In both types of agroforestry, various types of understorey crops were found from the food crop group, vegetables, fruit, and spices. Weekly revenue for rehabilitated cocoa-based agroforestry come from cocoa and banana yields. Palm sugar (Arenga pinnata) production is an important source of daily revenue for agroforestry farmers who manage palm trees.
