Peer-assisted versus faculty staff-led skills laboratory training: a randomised controlled trial

Abstract: Peer-assisted learning is a successful method for learning technical procedures in a skills laboratory setting and can be just as effective as the training provided by experienced faculty staff.

“…In the past, PAL programme student-teachers were shown not only to be effective, but also equally effective in teaching the required competencies for complicated technical skills (musculoskeletal ultrasound) as experienced physicians using self-teaching learning strategies [6].
