Pediatric Patient Safety in the Administration of Blood Components

Abstract: Objective: to analyze pediatric patient safety in the administration of blood components. Method: a documentary and retrospective study, developed at a hospital in the Brazilian Midwest region. Data collection took place through medical records and 234 transfusions were identified, performed in 90 patients aged from zero to twelve years old, hospitalized between July and December 2020.
