The construction industry plays a leading role in the Russian economy. Its innovative development is defined by highly qualified personnel, trained at educational institutions. The process of training such specialists requires integration of systemic, context-oriented, competence-oriented, personal and environmental educational approaches. The integration should act as a leading principle while designing all the components of the education process at technical universities. Within the context of the requirement defined by the Federal Educational Standards, we argue that the most promising solution should be the development of the technological complex, including its basic element i.e. the scientific and educational cluster aimed at every curriculum. This center must be equipped with up-to-date machinery that allows carrying out researches. The main goal of the research is to design the technological complex, allowing ensuring the professional and personal development of future graduates. The main result of the research lies in developing new basics aimed at creating and using the technological complex to train civil engineering students. The results can be used at technical universities while designing and creating scientific and educational centers.

The fundamental task of engineering education lies in interdisciplinary integration of content and teaching methods through the development of multimedia and virtual technologies. This leads to new demands on the professional knowledge, abilities, skills, and qualities of a teaching staff member. The main objective is to test the effectiveness of methods of formation and development of professional and pedagogical competence. The main results of the research allow identifying methods of development of professional and pedagogical competence (collaborative, personalized; training, consultations) and evaluation criteria, characterizing a public recognition of the scientific and educational activity of teachers. These methods allow developing a program for the training of faculty members, including participation in the scientific and teaching activity, organization of personal exhibitions, the development of individual projects to optimize higher education. The criteria identified allow to include characteristics of actual and potential activities of a teacher.

The article raises the problem of personality developing technologies in the training of future specialists in the fieldt of architecture and construction, reveals the essence of the development of the student’s professional and personal potential in the process of studying at a university. The implementation of this complex pedagogical problem is possible in the process of applying innovative educational technologies based on internally motivated activities. The basic methodological approaches in the paradigm of personality-oriented professional education are revealed. As the authors note, in relation to the personality-oriented paradigm of professional education, the following approaches are considered personal, individual, cultural, axiological, activity-based, competence-based and contextual. The article analyzes the educational systems used today, identifies their advantages and disadvantages. The features of the teacher’s activities when using personality-developing technologies in the process of professional training of future architectural and construction specialists are determined. Also, the conditions for providing personal-centered learning in vocational education are defined in the article.
