PCA Model of Fundamental Acoustic Finger Force for Out-of-Plane Ultrasonic Vibration and its Correlation with Friction Reduction

Abstract: When a finger touches an ultrasonic vibrating plate, a non-sinusoidal contact force is produced. This force is denominated acoustical finger force. In this paper, a method is proposed, in order to observe its fundamental component in the context of a friction reduction haptic interface.
