Pathogenic Escherichia coli Found in Sewage Treatment Plants and Environmental Waters

Abstract: cWe previously demonstrated that some Escherichia coli strains with uropathogenic properties survived treatment stages of sewage treatment plants (STPs), suggesting that they may be released into the environment.
