Parvoviral Enteritli Köpeklerde Pıhtılaşma Profilleri ve Kalp Biyomarkır Düzeyleri

Abstract: The first aim of this study is to determine the changes of cardiac biomarkers and coagulation profiles in parvoviral enteritis and present the importance of these parametres for prognosis of the disease. The second aim is to determine the presence of myocarditis in the enteritis form of the disease via cardiac biomarkers. Twenty seven dogs with parvoviral enteritis (experiment group) and 6 healthy dogs (control group) which were aged between 1.5 and 6 months, weighted between 5 -15 kg were used as a material o… Show more

“…Our results were in line with previous studies [2,21,[42][43][44][45] . Some authors [46][47][48] reported that the level of fibrinogen might increase in the first period of DIC due to an inflamatory response; and then this level might decrease because of fibrinolisis. In contrast, other researchers [19,45] reported a significant decrease in fibrinogen level.…”

“…Many differences have been reported as a result of hematological analyzes performed in dogs with CDV or CPV [9,16,17,20,32,34]. In addition to hematological analyzes, blood gases measurements are reported to be useful diagnostic and prognostic methods that are frequently used both for tentative diagnosis and confirmation of the diagnosis [8,14,22].…”

“…This persistence causes erythroid hypoplasia and explains the anemia detected in CDV-infected dogs [17]. In addition, the fact that iron becomes less useful for the body as a result of the release of interleukin-6 also contributes to the formation of anemia [16,31].…”
