“…The peak values of Pt 2+ severally situated in around 72.4 and 75.8 eV. The rest of the peaks were between 73.4 eV and 73.7 eV, and 77.6‐77.9 eV were connected with Pt 4+ species, respectively [49,50] . In Table 1, the surface Pt species composition of the Pt@CeO 2 −R and Pt@CeO 2 −B samples was 51.0% and 48.0%, respectively, far lower than the 75.0% of Pt/CeO 2 −R sample.…”

“…The rest of the peaks were between 73.4 eV and 73.7 eV, and 77.6-77.9 eV were connected with Pt 4 + species, respectively. [49,50] In Table 1, the surface Pt species composition of the Pt@CeO 2 À R and Pt@CeO 2 À B samples was 51.0% and 48.0%, respectively, far lower than the 75.0% of Pt/CeO 2 À R sample. The above phenomenon may illustrate that some Pt nanoparticles were implanted into the cavity of CeO 2 carrier, which was corresponding with TEM observations.…”

“…The enhanced performance was correlated with the higher dispersion of PtPd NPs within the SiO 2 shell after aging. For the purpose of enhancing the thermal stability of Pt toluene combustion catalysts without inducing severe mass transport limitations, Pei and co-workers [175] developed an in situ synthesis method to partially embed Pt NPs into three-dimensionally ordered macroporous (3DOM) Mn 2 O 3 , whereby the Mn 2 O 3 structure consists of a three-dimensional structure with ordered spherical macropores (>50 nm) which is prepared by a colloidal template method [176]. 2.3 wt% Pt/Mn 2 O 3 -3DOM exhibited the best catalytic performance.…”
