Partial Power Conversion and High Voltage Ride-Through Scheme for a PV-Battery Based Multiport Multi-Bus Power Router

Abstract: With the development of renewable energy technology, distributed power supply mode with multi energy and multi-directional power flow including utility grid, renewable energy and energy storage unit has gradually become a research hotspot. An AC/DC hybrid multi-port power routing (MPPR) system which based on partial power conversion (PPC) of dual DC buses is proposed in this paper. The photovoltaic (PV) port, the battery port and two DC voltage buses form a power router. PV maximum power point tracking (MPPT) … Show more

“…An example of the former category, [29], investigates the usage of PRs integrating different types of energy prosumers with a hierarchical control operation based on fuzzy logic. Reference [30] utilises PRs for enhancing the traditional PV-battery grid-connected structure. The PRG envisioned within this paper falls under the second category, which focuses on the operation of distribution grids in the presence of PRs.…”

“…This is not only an inevitable choice for the recycling of energy, but also a major reform in the current energy development mode, and one that is more conducive to the sustainable development of the environment. Building EI in an all-around manner will be As shown in Figure 1, the energy router (ER) serves as the crucial node in the EI, and is also called a power router [21] or energy hub [22]. The ER is a type of multi-port intelligent power electronic device with control and communication functions [23][24][25].…”
