Partial ordering of hyper-powersets and matrix representation of belief functions within DSmT

Abstract: In this paper, we examine several issues for ordering or partially ordering elements of hyperpowertsets involved in the recent theory of plausible, uncertain and paradoxical reasoning (DSmT) developed by the authors. We will show the benefit of some of these issues to obtain a nice and useful matriz representation of belief junctions.

“…To solve mentioned difficulties, a brand new multi-robots system framework is constructed with the advanced information fusion method DSmT [6][7][8]. This framework is fully applicable to the exploration of multi-robots and map building with the improvement of system function and lessen of mass communication and calculation.…”

“…where C M f (X) denotes the DSm cardinal of proposition X for the free-DSm model M f of the problem under consideration here [6]. The decision criterion for the estimation of correct model M is then based on the evolution of the Pignistic entropies, associated with updated amplitude states:…”

“…Thus, this equation indicates that if the union of objects is also a constraint, then the mass is either assigned to the union of all the singletons that form the objects, or to total ignorance. Equation (8) indicates that the mass is attributed to the union of all the objects of the sets X i , if the intersection is a constraint.…”
