Paradoxical Peripheral Embolism – a Rare and Underestimated Event

Abstract: We describe a patient with a giant ovarian cyst causing a complete occlusion of the distal abdominal aorta. An 86 year old patient presented with acute ischemia for her lower limbs three days after a transurethral resection of a bladder tumor (TURT). She never wanted treatment for her giant ovarian cyst.
