Papular Elastorrhexis in Childhood Improved by Intralesional Injections of Triamcinolone

Abstract: Papular elastorrhexis is a rare disease developing asymptomatic skin-colored small papules in adolescence with histopathological loss of elastic fibers. There has been no established treatment for this disease. A 4-year-old Korean boy had multiple, hard, whitish papules on his chest and back for one year. “…To the best of our knowledge, there have been only 18 reported cases of papular elastorrhexis in literature [2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10] . Herein, we report a case of 20-yearold-Korean woman who had asymptomatic multiple, discrete, firm, palpable white papules on the anterior chest for several months; We also include a brief literature review.…”
