Panorama of photovoltaic energy in poultry in Paraná

Abstract: Brazil stands out before other countries for having a gigantic area for food production. Paraná is the state that stands out among the nation's states with its gross production value (VBP), which in these values are the agricultural and livestock productions such as poultry farming. Moreover, Paraná stands out for having a high solar irradiation, which leads rural entrepreneurs to seek the use of renewable energies as electric energy, especially photovoltaic energy. With that, the present study refers to a qua… Show more

“…The irradiation in Brazil is an international reference, but its photovoltaic energy generation is underexplored 44–46 . In western Paraná mesoregion, our results pointed out higher irradiation in summer, highlighting the municipalities of Santa Helena and Foz do Iguaçu with higher average, as previously reported (see references 34,45).…”

[44][45][46] In western Paraná mesoregion, our results pointed out higher irradiation in summer, highlighting the municipalities of Santa Helena and Foz do Iguaçu with higher average, as previously reported (see references 34,45). Photovoltaic generation suffers direct influence from the presence/absence of clouds and the day and night cycle, however, it could be incorporated into existing hydroelectric plants, in floating modules under the dam area, integrating the energy sources so that one covers the intermittency of the other.…”
