Show more

“…The material has also increased biomedical interest due to its angiogenic properties [7][8][9][10]. Studies have presented NRL capacity to stimulate vascularization and ability to induce tissue regeneration [8,11]. Since then, the NRL has been used for various therapeutic purposes such as, palate reconstruction in dogs, stomach regeneration in rabbits and the treatment of ulcers of different etiologies [6][7][8][9][10][11].…”

“…The natural latex biomembrane has great potential for tissue repair and formation 9 . The dressing made with this material in the first stage of the study secured rapid granulation of the area of and also a granulation tissue of good quality 9 to be the recipient site for the grafts.…”

“…The natural latex biomembrane is thin, elastic and easy to handle, and has a thin layer of polylysine that increases permeability and microvascular flow 4 . It has also proven biocompatibility and low cost compared with the alternatives found on the market [5][6][7][8][9] . Its particular microarchitecture allows protein and cell adhesion, in particular macrophages involved in repair 5,6,10 .…”
