Paediatrics in Berlin

Abstract

The aim of this report is to describe the highlights of the European Respiratory Society annual congress in Berlin, Germany. The best abstracts in asthma and allergy, cystic fibrosis, respiratory infection, paediatric and neonatal intensive care, paediatric investigative techniques (in particular respiratory physiology and bronchoscopy) and respiratory epidemiology are presented and set in the context of the current literature.

Lung echinococcal cyst in a child

The clinical features of lung abscess of the lungs are similar with the course of the diseases in our patient: a sudden onset, high fever with the septic pattern and the increase of inflammatory parameters (8). Refining the changes. Or, how to modify the shape, not the spirit

A second Update paper will be published in an upcoming issue of the ERJ, and will describe the most recent advances in some of the major paediatric respiratory diseases [3].…”
