P‐49: Ultimate Solution: The Belt Plane Source Evaporators for Future AMOLED and QD OLED TV

Abstract: There are two type evaporators such as cluster and inline equipped with linear sources in OLED manufacturing. The inline type evaporator has been used for WOLED and QD‐OLED and there is a glass substrate bending problem in 10G size manufacturing. The cluster type evaporator has been used for AMOLED and there is a shadow distance limitation to improve the display resolution. The belt plane source FMM evaporator and the vertical belt plane source evaporator equipped with three dimensional shape plane sources wil… Show more

“…There are currently two OLED structures such as White type OLED and RGB type AMOLED which are commercially succeeded. [1] The white OLED is as tandem structure with 25 organic layers so it is so difficult to produce in manufacturing line. However, the OLED TVs are all White OLED or Blue OLED so far.…”

“…On the other hand, the mobile AMOLED is as single stack structure with only 8 organic layers but it has very fine RGB patterns providing difficulty to produce. [1] The currently producing micro-OLED for AR display is all White OLED and it will be RGB OLED sooner or later to minimize the power consumption trouble.…”
