In recent decades, gels have been widely considered for various medicinal purposes and, in particular, wound healing applications. In this regard, amides of oleic acids and 9, 10-dihydroxyoctadecanoic acid are synthesized and characterized with the help of modern analytical tools. Among the mentioned amide frameworks, N-(2-aminoethyl)-oleamide exhibits high order of gelation not only with different organic solvents such as n-hexane and DMSO but also with different edible oils such as sesame oil, mustard oil, coconut oil and citriodora oil. Here, we briefly discuss the optimization of gelation conditions for the synthesized amides as organo-gelator, in addition to that the minimum gelation concentration and gelation temperature have also been studied.

Available synthetic protocols for 3,5‐diaryl‐1H‐pyrazoles generally demand long reaction time. Herein, we are reporting a CuFe2O4 catalyzed synthetic procedure for the same that delivers products in significantly reduced time starting from tosylhydrazones of aromatic aldehydes and terminal alkynes. Under the reaction condition, tosylhydrazone generates diazo compound in situ, which then undergoes [3 + 2] cycloaddition reaction with the terminal alkyne followed by [1,3]‐H shift to deliver the final products in 72%–85% isolated yield. Magnetically active CuFe2O4 nanoparticles can be recovered very easily after the completion of the reaction and can be reused up to fifth cycle without significant loss in its catalytic activity. Operational simplicity of the methodology along with tolerability of various functional groups as well as easy recovery and high reusability of CuFe2O4 nanoparticles make the procedure a practical and handy one for the synthesis of 3,5‐diaryl‐1H‐pyrazoles.

Aims: This study was aimed to investigate the role of E2F1 in breast cancer biology. Background: Expression of E2F1, a transcription factor of many oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes, is lowered in several malignancies including breast carcinoma. Objectives: In the present study we analyzed the status of E2F1 expression in association with diverse attributes of breast malignancy and its impact on cancer progression. Methods: For this purpose we used various freely available online applications for gene enrichment, expression and methylation analysis, to extract mutation based E2F1 map, to measure E2F1 drug sensitivity and to determine E2F1 association with damage response proteins. Results: Results revealed tissue specific regulatory behavior of E2F1. Moreover, the key role of E2F1 in the promotion of metastasis, stem cell mediated carcinogenesis, estrogen mediated cell proliferation and cellular defense system has therefore highlighted it as metaplastic marker and hot member of key resistome pathways. Conclusion: The information thus generated can be employed for future implications in devising rational therapeutic strategies. Moreover, this study has provided a more detailed insight into the diagnostic and prognostic potential of E2F.
