Abstract:The article presents a review of the results of research on high-entropy alloys, describing the principles of their formation, the basic concepts and properties of high-entropy alloys. The existing categories of the entropic alloys are listed. The effects resulting from the formation of high-entropy alloys are described: high entropy, lattice distortion, sluggish diffusion and cocktail effects. It is noted that the traditional thermodynamic representations for multicomponent alloys require additions. It is als… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
