“…The development model with unified fossil fuels as the main energy source brings about energy exhaustion and environmental pollution. The challenge of developing green, safe, and renewable new energy sources is still ongoing. The technology of photocatalytic hydrogen production has the advantages of wide energy sources, rich reserves, and green and environmental protection preparation process, which has attracted wide attention. Since 1972, scientists have worked on the process of converting solar energy into hydrogen energy while developing a variety of semiconductor photocatalysts, including metal oxides, metal sulfides, , phosphide, and organic polymers. Among them, zeolite structures (ZIFs), composed of tetrahedral coordination transition metal cations (Zn or Co) and imidazole-based ligand (Im) junctions with the advantages of high porosity, adjustable frame size, and large surface area are considered potential ideal host materials for the development of high-performance photocatalysts and have been widely studied as star materials in recent years. …”

“…1 The rapid change in climate, environmental degradation, pollution and resource depletion by the extensive use of fossil fuels and the rapid increase in global population are critical issues. [2][3][4] It was reported that 92% of total anthropogenic CO 2 emissions are just from fossil fuel combustion to combat the energy crisis. 5 These pressing issues need to be resolved by developing effective and resilient technologies.…”

“…As of 2020, only 5% of cars in the U.S. are electric, indicating that fuel vehicles dominate the overall automotive market. Furthermore, the U.S. is the world's largest producer and consumer of fossil fuels, consuming 63,130 kW h of fossil energy per capita in 2021, 10 times higher than Indian citizens (Hossain et al, 2023).…”

“…In that case, environmental degradation is expected to be a significant challenge on the SD path (Zakari et al, 2022). Given the severe challenges posed by energy consumption, the U.S. government urgently seeks solutions to decrease the negative impacts of the existing energy consumption structure and environmental pollution on ecosystems (Hossain et al, 2023). To cope with the threats of the climate crisis, the U.S. government is accelerating the construction of RE facilities and advocating for businesses and residents to increase the use of low-carbon resources (Lahiani et al, 2021).…”
