Ouvrai: Opening access to remote VR studies of human behavioral neuroscience

Abstract: Modern virtual reality (VR) devices offer 6 degree-of-freedom kinematic data with high spatial and temporal resolution, making them powerful tools for research on sensorimotor and cognitive functions. Task programs for online reaching motor tasks (Tsay et al, 2020) and remote virtual reality (VR) motor tasks (Cesanek et al, 2023) using Firebase, a web application platform, were released as open source and used in motor learning research (Avraham et al, 2021; Tsay et al, 2022; Zhu et al, 2023).
