Oriented Polyaniline Nanowire Arrays Grown on Dendrimer (PAMAM) Functionalized Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes as Supercapacitor Electrode Materials

Abstract: At present, PANI/MWNT composites have been paid more attention as promising electrode materials in supercapacitors. Yet some shortcomings still limit the widely application of PANI/MWNT electrolytes. In this work, in order to improve capacitance ability and long-term stability of electrode, a multi-amino dendrimer (PAMAM) had been covalently linked onto multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNT) as a bridge to facilitating covalent graft of polyaniline (PANI), affording P-MWNT/PANI electrode composites for supercapa… Show more

“…The peaks at 1300 and 1242 cm −1 are caused by the C=N and C–N stretching, respectively. In addition, the peaks at 1130 and 827 cm −1 are associated with the stretching of N=Q=N and bending vibration of C–H [26,34]. These characteristic peaks demonstrate the successful polymerization of the PANI on CC.…”

“…On the CF/RuO 2 -TiO 2 spectrum, no signal is attributed to RuO 2 . All the peaks are assigned to the anatase, this is due to the analyzed area which is possibly disabled in ruthenium (Fig , 1510, and 1595 cm -1 ; they are assigned to C-H bending of the quinoid and benzenoid ring, C-N + stretching vibration, , C=C stretching of the benzenoid ring, and C=C stretching of the quinoid rings (Jlassi et al, 2014;Jin, 2018). It is noted that the Raman response of the cellulose is hidden by TiO 2 which absorbs strongly in the same zone as cellulose.…”

“…However, we could also evidence that in order to improve the interaction between PAni and CNTs, a multi‐amino dendrimer (PAMAM) was used. The fabricated electrode composed of PAni‐PAMAM‐CNT composite (568 Fg −1 ) exhibited much higher specific capacitance than PAni and PAni/CNT–based supercapacitors …”
