“…The coping strategies employed by the swimmers were grouped into ten families of coping, some of which support those previously reported by sport performers. For example, problem-solving has been widely discussed as an adaptive coping strategy (see, for a review, Nicholls & Polman, 2007) and support seeking, or social support, has consistently been reported as a strategy used to cope with organizational stressors (Kristiansen et al, 2012;Kristiansen & Roberts, 2010;Weston et al, 2009).
