“…The reported oral ulcer was preceded by macular erythema and pain (probably associated with vasculitis) in an adult female patient, who also developed a skin lesion. In this case, the ulcer healed after 10 days 7 . In our cases, the lesions resolved during treatment and days after the infection.…”

“…The oral mucosae lesions were referred to as viral enanthemas 6 . Chaux‐Bodard et al and Martín Carreras‐Presas et al reported ulcerative and vesiculobullous lesions in the oral cavity in patients confirmed and suspicious of new coronavirus disease 7,8 . The salivary gland and oral epithelium present the ACE2 receptor, a membranous protein used as a mechanism of attachment for SARS‐COV‐2, and due to this epithelial tropism, it is considered a route of viral latency and transmission 9,10 .…”

“…In literature, several cases of oral manifestations apparently related to SARS-CoV-2 have been described [ 19 , 20 , 21 ]. The importance of good oral hygiene could be an interesting aspect to evaluate a hypothetical relationship between SARS-CoV-2 and oral manifestations.…”

“…Periodontopathic bacteria, involved in several process like inflammation, bacteraemia, pneumonia, are also present in the metagenome of positive SARS-CoV-2 patients [ 23 ]. Several authors described case reports of SARS-CoV-2-positive patients with oral manifestations potentially compatible with this type of coronavirus [ 19 , 20 , 21 ]. Moreover, a key factor in the damage of the respiratory system and other organs could be related to the distribution of ACE2 receptors in the human system [ 24 ].…”
