“…Overexpression of HSP70 inhibits vestibular HC death from ototoxicity as well (May et al 2013 ). Furthermore, some factors, which can induce HSP70 in the vestibular end organs, such as geranylgeranylacetone (GGA) (Nagato et al 2018 ; Takumida and Anniko 2005 ) and pifithin-µ (Ryals et al 2018 ), also protect vestibular HCs from aminoglycoside-induced death.
