“…A stepwise approach known as RSM can be used to improve a given response or to meet a set of specifications. This process involves designing an experiment that fits to the requirements of the given specification [21][22][23][24][25]. This paper shows that the "Strength properties" depends on the response of "steel fibers" and "polypropylene fibers".…”

“…The observations fairly agreed with the previous literature that the influence of fibre inclusion on the compressive strength of concrete is not significant; conversely, the fibre inclusion may enhance the tensile strength of the concrete substantially. 10 Considering the tensile strength properties of the concrete mixture at the age of 7 and 28 days, the linear (X 1 ) and the quadratic X 2 1 À Á term of PVA fibre was more significant, and the p values were less than 0.005. While considering the influence of nano-Fe 2 O 3 , it was insignificant and the p value of the linear (X 2 ) and the quadratic X 2 1 À Á term of nano-Fe 2 O 3 was more than 0.005.…”

“…Therefore, it is very imperative to increase the compressive strength of the concrete, where the compressive tensile properties of the concrete are predominant for its application. 10 It has been documented that the introduction of nanomaterials either may be in the spherical materials form (includes nano-SiO 2 , nano-Al 2 O 3 , nano-TiO 2 , nano-Fe 2 O 3 , nano-ZnO etc.) or may be in the tube materials in the concrete densify the concrete by filling concrete pores, enhance the hydration process and significantly enhance the compressive strength of concrete.…”

“…Extreme vertices method of mixture design with constraints that comprised of Rice 0.5 -0.7, Sorghum 0.1 -0.3 and Bamboo Shoot Flour 0.0 -0.3 on proportional basis so as to have a final mixture total of 1.0 (100%) was employed. Extreme vertices design was used because according to [19], this method is used in mixture experiments when constraints are applied on factors (ingredients). Hence, these factor constraints reduce the spatial volume of the factors and the factor level from 0 to 100% or 0.0 to 1.0 on proportional basis.…”
