Optimized Cathode for High‐Energy Sodium‐Ion Based Dual‐Ion Full Battery with Fast Kinetics

Abstract: The most used systems based on the graphite‐based cathode show unsatisfactory performance in dual‐ion batteries. Developing new type cathode materials with high capacity for new type anions storage is an effective way to improve the total performance of dual‐ion batteries. Herein, a protonated polyaniline (P‐PANI) cathode is prepared to realize efficient and stable storage of ClO4–, and a high reversible capacity of 143 mAh g−1 at 0.2 A g−1 after 200 cycles can be obtained, which is competitive compared with c… Show more

“…These CV curves revealed two anode and two cathode peaks, which signified a multistep anion and cation intercalation/deintercalation process. A high coincidence of these CV curves could be identified, indicating a good reversibility and stability during anion and cation inter- 18,[57][58][59][60][61][62][63][64][65][66] and (e) cycling performance; inset is the selected charge and discharge curves. calation/deintercalation.…”

“…At the same time, imaginary capacitance is associated with some irreversible consumption process, and short relaxation time constant ( 0 = 1/f) calculated in C″ of 80% strain MSC is further supported by its rapid transportation of charge and fast electrode polarization (35)(36)(37), leading to the enhanced ion diffusion (fig. S14) (38) and energy/ power densities (0.38 mW cm −2 /1.4 mWh cm −2 ; fig. S15A).…”
