Optimization of daily schedule for electric vehicles charging to minimize the energy costs

Abstract: In this paper, an optimization problem of the daily schedule for charging/discharging of electric vehicles (EVs) is solved in order to minimize the energy costs. Results are obtained for the microgrid with renewable energy sources and the savings are calculated based on daily curves of non-deferrable load demand, photovoltaic and wind energy production and variable buying/selling energy prices from the energy market.
