Optimal Planning of Integrated Energy Systems Based on Coupled CCHP

Abstract: With the widespread attention on clean energy use and energy efficiency, the integrated energy system (IES) has received considerable research and development. This paper proposed an electricity-gas IES optimization planning model based on a coupled combined cooling heating and power system (CCHP). The planning and operation of power lines and gas pipelines are considered. Regarding CCHP as the coupled hub of an electricity-gas system, the proposed model minimizes total cost in IES, with multistage planning an… Show more

“…In this paper, it should be noticed that the investment of system represents the cost of the system construction. The proposed objective construction cost function includes the cost of system equipment, the fuel cost, equipment maintenance cost of the system, the equipment installation cost, the environment cost and the system's revenue [21]. The detailed composition of the objective function in describe in Appendix B.…”

“…The limited capacity of WT and PV has reached 97 MW, and the limited proportion has reached 42.17%. The integrated energy system (IES) coordinates the various forms of energy systems such as the distribution systems, the renewable energy systems, and the traffic systems considering electric vehicles (EVs) and the combined cooling, heating, and power (CCHP) systems, which could realize the optimal utilization of various types of energy and effectively solve the consumption problem of renewable energy [5]. In [6], the optimization of the IES including district heating, cooling, and various forms of energy storage in Singapore was performed, and the results show that the cost of energy through methane storage or heat storage is much less than that of using electricity storage or hydrogen storage when the space constraints of photovoltaic installations are taken into consideration.…”

“…Based on EH, Zhou et al [12] proposed a collaborative expansion optimization configuration method for a renewable power system and a natural gas system. Considering the topological constraints of grid and gas networks, a regional integrated energy system expansion planning model based on CCHP was proposed in [13], and the economic scheduling strategy of the system was analyzed by the scenario method. Considering the value chain of natural gas, the long-term, multi-regional, and multi-stage expansion planning of a gas-electric coupling system was studied in reference [14].…”
