In this paper, the side effects of drug therapy in the process of cancer treatment are reduced by designing two optimal non‐linear controllers. The related gains of the designed controllers are optimised using genetic algorithm and simultaneously are adapted by employing the Fuzzy scheduling method. The cancer dynamic model is extracted with five differential equations, including normal cells, endothelial cells, cancer cells, and the amount of two chemotherapy and anti‐angiogenic drugs left in the body as the engaged state variables, while double drug injection is considered as the corresponding controlling signals of the mentioned state space. This treatment aims to reduce the tumour cells by providing a timely schedule for drug dosage. In chemotherapy, not only the cancer cells are killed but also other healthy cells will be destroyed, so the rate of drug injection is highly significant. It is shown that the simultaneous application of chemotherapy and anti‐angiogenic therapy is more efficient than single chemotherapy. Two different non‐linear controllers are employed and their performances are compared. Simulation results and comparison studies show that not only adding the anti‐angiogenic reduce the side effects of chemotherapy but also the proposed robust controller of sliding mode provides a faster and stronger treatment in the presence of patient parametric uncertainties in an optimal way. As a result of the proposed closed‐loop drug treatment, the tumour cells rapidly decrease to zero, while the normal cells remain healthy simultaneously. Also, the injection rate of the chemotherapy drug is very low after a short time and converges to zero.

This paper presents control and synchronization for two nonlinear chaotic systems in the presence of uncertainties and external disturbances based on an intuitionistic fuzzy control (IFC) scheme. Two classes of Chua and cubic Chua oscillators have been formulated as master and slave respectively. The master and slave systems have different initial conditions and parameters, which leads to the butterfly effect that rules the chaotic systems’ behaviour. IFC scheme is chosen as a different method that has not been used before to control and synchronize Chua and cubic Chua oscillators. The main objective of the IFC scheme is to collect more information about the system and provide flexibility for the controller that increases the robustness of the control system to uncertainties in the structure of the chaotic systems. The stability analysis of the overall system is guaranteed using Routh-Hurwitz and Lyapunov criteria. The simulation results accomplished to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed control and to demonstrate its reliability to control Chua’s circuit system with a comparative study.

A simple and facile approach has been applied for the synthesis of molybdenum disulfide nanosheets (MNs). Molybdenum disulfide nanosheets were prepared by mix‐solvent reflux exfoliation technique of bulk MoS2 with ethanol/water as the solvent. In this paper, a novel nano sorbent is reported for the surface grafting of poly [N‐Vinyl caprolactam‐co‐Vinyl Acetate] copolymer onto molybdenum disulfide nanosheets. The MNs@ p (NVCL‐co‐VAc) was modified by 3, 4‐diaminobenzoic acid (DABA) to enhance its adsorption capacity. The ability of MNs@ p (NVCL‐co‐VAc)‐DABA was estimated as a nanocarrier for the delivery of Imatinib Mesylate (IM) as an anticancer drug. The polymer grafted MNs@ p (NVCL‐co‐VAc)‐DABA was characterized by using field emission scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, elemental analysis, and X‐ray powder diffraction. The effect of the experimental parameters, such as pH, contact time, and the temperature was evaluated. In vitro controlled drug release and phototherapy under near‐infrared (NIR) light irradiation are also discussed. In vitro release of IM from IM/MNs@ p (NVCL‐co‐VAc)‐DABA nanocarriers in the simulated blood fluid (pH = 7.4) shown that the release of IM was faster at 50°C than that at 37°C. The drug release amount under NIR light irradiation reached up to 98% over 15 min, which was about 12 times that without NIR light irradiation. The existence of absorbed NIR energy causes shrinkage of thermosensitive polymer chains and successfully caused the drug release. The sorption process was described by the Langmuir model and pseudo‐second‐order kinetic. The drug release kinetics was examined using Zero‐order, First‐order, Korsmeyer–Peppas, and Higuchi mathematical models.
