The freight forwarding business, namely transportation services from various modes of transportation (carrier) and arranging a series of shipments from several senders is growing rapidly during the pandemic and post Covid-19 pandemic. However, this business development is not without problems. Security disturbances during the cargo delivery process are a major problem, and this often happens in Indonesia. For this reason, this research will build a cargo delivery security system using automation technology and based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The system is a Smart Lock installed on the cargo. This smart lock can be monitored remotely, such as opening or closing the lock and the condition of the cargo in the field. Only the cargo owner can open or close the cargo lock. In addition, this system is also equipped with temperature and vibration sensors to maintain the quality of the goods in the cargo. The results of this research will be useful for the security system and convenience of the cargo delivery process and the digitization process will be easier to do in the future.

Copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) can be synthesized by green methods using plant extracts. These methods are more environmentally friendly and offer improved properties of the synthesized NPs in terms of biocompatibility and functional capabilities. Traditional medicine has a rich history of utilization of herbs for millennia, offering a viable alternative or complementary option to conventional pharmacological medications. Plants of traditional herbal use or those with medicinal properties are candidates to be used to obtain NPs due to their high and complex content of biocompounds with different redox capacities that provide a dynamic reaction environment for NP synthesis. Other synthesis conditions, such as salt precursor concentration, temperature, time synthesis, and pH, have a significant effect on the characteristics of the NPs. This paper will review the properties of some compounds from medicinal plants, plant extract obtention methods alternatives, characteristics of plant extracts, and how they relate to the NP synthesis process. Additionally, the document includes diverse applications associated with CuNPs, starting from antibacterial properties to potential applications in metabolic disease treatment, vegetable tissue culture, therapy, and cardioprotective effect, among others.

Ultrasound-assisted extraction is an interesting tool for obtaining bioactive compounds from plant matrices applicable as agricultural bio-inputs, as it increases the extraction efficiency, reducing the process time and the use of solvents. This technique uses ultrasonic waves to break down plant cell walls, releasing bioactive compounds quickly and effectively and promoting a sustainable path to obtaining bio-inputs. Accordingly, this research study reports pioneering results regarding the herbicidal and fungicidal potential of different extracts obtained from Senecio brasiliensis (samples from flowers, leaves, and stalks) and Solanum viarum (samples from fruits and roots), two weeds typically found in rural areas of South America. The fungicidal activity of the samples was tested on two fungi, i.e., Fusarium graminearum and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, while the herbicidal action of the extracts was evaluated in pre-emergence tests in cucumber (Cucumis sativus) seeds. The successful results indicated a high antifungal and herbicidal potential of the extracts obtained for both weeds, with the inhibitory effect against both fungi achieving up to 82%, and the inhibition of C. sativus seed germination reaching 100% for all samples.
