Only 2 of our cases (1.4%) were superficial primary skin tumors, in contrast with the study by García-Solano et al, 7 who performed 20% of their FNABs on superficial skin lesions of the hand. Their diagnostic rate for skin lesions appears similar to that for their deep-seated soft tissue tumors, and they conclude that the sensitivity of FNAB could be increased by additionally obtaining scrapings of the lesions to complement the aspiration material.…”
