In the 1980s, there was a cultural turn in translation studies. Since then, translation studies are no longer confined to the study of specific texts, but examine the texts in the context of culture and history, and study the production process of texts and the relationship between texts and related factors such as culture and history. When literary works are transplanted from one language to another, it is like moving plants and animals from one place to another. They must “adapt” and grow like individuals or nations, and they can only survive if they adapt to the new environment and change. Intertextuality is one of the important terms in contemporary literary criticism. Intertextuality is one of the seven textual features of a text (formal adaptation, semantic adaptation, intentionality, receptivity, informality, situational, and intertextuality). Gram incidence matrix is designed to count and merge feature words using feature extraction algorithm for text processing and feature extraction, so that feature words of different lengths can be extracted using fixed-length algorithm. A poststructuralist, Roland Barthes, deconstructs the traditional concept of text and extends it to the social and cultural context. The so-called intertextuality of literary creation and literary translation also incorporates cultural connotation and knowledge structure into the relationship between texts. Literary system is a system, social culture is a larger system, and literary system is a constituent factor of the social cultural system, according to the theory of multiple systems; literary creation and literary translation are factors in the literary system. The main focus of intertextuality theory is text comprehension. Bloom’s intertextuality theory, on the other hand, expounds on text creation. On the basis of a feature extraction algorithm, this paper investigates the types and techniques of intertextuality between creative text and translated text using a combination of objective description and theoretical analysis.

Optimization of Translation Techniques between English and Chinese Literary Works in the Information Age

Under the background of cultural globalization, English-Chinese literary translation plays an important role in which it is not only a process of language conversion, but also a process of cultural conversion. In this paper, the BiGUR-LM-Attention optimization model is fused and constructed using the WordNet semantic similarity model, GRU-LM one-way gated similarity model, and BiGR-LM two-way gated similarity model. The LDA theme model is selected to generate the 3-layer Bayesian network structure of literary works’ paragraphs, themes and words to obtain the probability information that represents the highest attention of the work’s text theme, which constitutes the attention mechanism feature word vector. Finally, five classic literary works are selected as the training corpus to compare and analyze the translation quality between machine translation and human translation in the mutual translation of English and Chinese literary works. The results show that the number of errors and the total score of machine translation are 95 and 275, which are significantly lower than those of manual translation, 105.37 and 360.19. The new model has outstanding translation performance in semantic recognition, dialect, and special nouns, which effectively improves the translation quality of literary works and is of great significance for the dissemination of cultural works.

Resumo O presente trabalho possui como objetivo a análise dos modelos de tradução automática baseados em Transformer. Em específico, a pesquisa visa ao teste da viabilidade do uso de modelos treinados a partir de corpus especializado. Para o treinamento do modelo, foi construído um corpus paralelo inglês-francês a partir de sete textos da Convenção de 25 de outubro de 1980 sobre os Aspectos Civis do Rapto Internacional de Crianças. Os resultados de tradução obtidos pelo modelo treinado foram comparados com aqueles produzidos pelo Google Tradutor. Para a etapa de avaliação foram utilizados os métodos de avaliação automática sacreBLEU e avaliação humana. Os resultados da avaliação automática de frases produzidas pelo modelo treinado foram, em média, mais positivos que aqueles gerados pelo modelo não treinado. A avaliação humana das frases revelou que houve erros de adequação no uso da linguagem específica à matéria da Convenção da Haia de 1980 tanto em frases geradas pelo modelo treinado, quanto em frases geradas pelo modelo do Google Tradutor.
