“…The 1 H‐NMR and 13 C‐NMR spectra confirmed the molecular structure of the CNR to be composed of isoprene, residual epoxy groups, and chloroacetate groups, which corresponds to the result analyzed from the FTIR measurement. The important peaks corresponding to the chloroacetate group showed at δ 1.31 ppm for CH 3 C, at δ 3.64 ppm for COH, and at δ 4.09 ppm for CH 2 Cl as analyzed by 1 H‐NMR [Figure (a)] and at δ 40.30 ppm (q) for CH 2 Cl and at δ 70.46 ppm (r) for COH as analyzed by 13 C‐NMR [Figure (b)].…”

“…Table c shows the thermal properties of EMNa/ENR25 blends; in these materials, T g of ENR25 is lower than the T g of ENR50 due to the lower epoxidation. It has been reported that for every mole percent increase in the epoxidation level, the T g increases by 0.93 °C; however, there is no significant variation in the T g of ENR25 phase at all compositions (Table c). It should be observed that also Tm of EMNa phase remains practically unvaried for any composition.…”

“…Commercially produced ENRs that contain 25 and 50 mol % epoxy contents are assigned as ENR‐25 and ENR‐50, respectively . An increase in the level of epoxidation increases the density, solubility parameter, and glass‐transition temperature ( T g ) and decreases the refractive index and crystallinity . ENR containing epoxidized‐form opened ring structures shows excellent properties, including insolubility, air impermeability, oil and organic solvent resistant, a good wet grip, and high damping characteristics.…”
