“…In another study, Terminalia macroptera root hydroethanol extract showed inhibitory effects on 92% of tested H. pylori strains (three reference strains and 62 clinical isolates) with the inhibitory concentration range of 25 to 200 μg/mL, and 20% of the clinical strains were found resistant to at least two of three antibiotics (clarithromycin, ciprofloxacin, and metronidazole) in multitherapy of H. pylori infections (Silva et al, 2012).
