Abstract:The article focuses on the Internet-borne forces that through time caused changes in the contemporary English. Examples of specific, at the time most popular changes on the English-speaking branch of the Internet are given in the article. Examples that regard the changes in the vocabulary of contemporary English are analyzed in detail separately in the context of etymology, with authors making hypothetical assumptions on the potential future of such examples.
