On the Feasibilities of Using the Wavelet Analysis of Mueller Matrix Images of Biological Crystals

Abstract: The efficiency of using the statistical and fractal analyses for distributions of wavelet coefficients for Mueller matrix images of biological crystal networks inherent to human tissues is theoretically grounded in this work. The authors found interrelations between statistical moments and power spectra for distributions of wavelet coefficients as well as orientation-phase changes in networks of biological crystals. Also determined are the criteria for statistical and fractal diagnostics of changes in the bire… Show more

“…Our work is aimed at studying capabilities of the wavelet analysis in determination of statistical (statistical moments of the 1 st to 4 th orders) as well as fractal (fractal dimensio− nalities) parameters that characterize distributions of wave− let coefficients for images of synovial fluid taken from human joints with various pathologies by using the method [18,19]. …”

“…The peculiarity of the extracellular matrix structure of sound SD is a random distribution of directions ( ( ) y x × ρ ) of the protein crystals optical axes (figure 2). Extracellular matrix of oncologically changed object of investigation is characterized by a set of ordered "the newly formed" collagen fibrils with a greater value of the birefringence parameter [25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32]. …”

“…Experimental researches of two-dimensional distribution of CDMA of blood plasma with different physiological states In our work we will restrict by study of the relationship of statistical moments of the 1st -4th order [35], which characterize the coordinate distribution ( ) y x W , of blood plasma healthy and sick with appendicitis (acute and gangrenous) rights. As objects of study (figure 2) were chosen the layers (strokes) of blood plasma of three groups of patients -healthy (figure 2a), patients with acute appendicitis (figure 2b) and gangrenous appendicitis (figure 2с).…”
