On the design of wireless sensor networks for autonomous heliostats in Solar Tower Power Plants

Abstract: This paper discusses the deployment of a wireless network to monitor and control a Solar Tower Power Plant, taking into account its unique characteristics like clustering or antenna orientation. An software tool is presented, with inputs based on real or estimated plant layouts and tunable network parameters.
