Abstract:Superimposed voltage waveforms may result in electrical stresses in dielectric materials not anticipated for. Non-intrusive ethodologies to observe these events, both capacitively and inductively, are discussed. This paper presents two examples where complex waveforms arise from energizing and de-energizing inductive loads.
