Obesity increases the prevalence and the incidence of asthma and worsens asthma severity

“…While some of this increased prevalence of obesity within the severe asthma population may reflect the obesogenic effects of the systemic corticosteroids that are widely used in this population, there is also evidence that obesity increases the severity of asthma.
